My mother has a problem with my GF of 5 years showering and eating at our place because of our financial situation.

So basically, as the title says. My GF (F22) sleeps at my (M22) place usually about three times a week. She usually takes a shower and eat some of our food during her stay here. Her parents have no problem when I'm eating at her place and I'm eating there much more than she is at mine. I had a fight today with my mom because of this, the problem is that our financial situation is not that bad at all and she is overreacting, my father says that too. What should I do to keep everyone happy? I don't want to tell it to my GF because then she's going to feel not wanted at my place and basically it's true. I'm a medicine student and semi-professional athlete so I don't have time to work right now. Thanks in advance!

TL;DR - My mother started to have a problem with my GF eating our food and using our shower and I find it fucked up, don't know how to deal with it.
