My mom is my best friend . I love her so much but this has become a huge issue . Today we went for a long ride with my daughter to get lunch at the beach and I had to offer her 3 mints . She always takes them . But it does NOTHING to hide the smell of her breath. It’s not like stale coffee breath or I ate onions . It’s honestly the worst smell I have ever encountered . She’s a nurse . It’s been like this for over a year now . It’s consistently awful . She brushes her teeth . I had to sit in the back seat of the car on the way back bc it grossed me out . I’m trying to be kind but this isn’t a one off . I have no idea how to go about this conversation. I don’t want to hurt her but I don’t want her co workers to shun her . My dad died years ago and she has no partner or close friends besides her sisters and brothers . I dread having to smell her breath all the time . I’d rather not be around it
TLDR: how do I tell my mom her consistent halitosis is a problem ??
