Whenever somebody is mutually interested in me [22M], they lose interest before anything happens between us.

As the title explains, every time I'm mutually interested in a woman, she seems to lose interest in me before anything actually happens with us. It feels like women are interested in me until they get to know me, and then stop being interested (despite shared hobbies and interests). This seems to be a pretty consistent trend when it comes to my romantic life, and it's really disheartening.

To add a little context on me and my personality, I'm more of a passive, caring, empathetic person who would probably set himself on fire to keep somebody else warm (figuratively speaking). I'm not competitive, and I hate causing conflicts. Basically, the exact opposite of the stereotype for men in my age bracket.

I'm in my third year of college, and my hobbies consist of computer technology (e.g. programming), gaming, some tv shows and anime, and occasionally cooking.

Is that just not what people are looking for? Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this just the reality of (not-even-dating) dating?

Tldr: Women are interested in me until they get to know me. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just how things are?
