I’m (f20s) miserable with hair and want to cut it off. Husband (m20s) says if I do, be prepared for him to have no attraction to me. advice?

quick backstory; last year, I moved from one state to another that has drastically different weather. Because of it, my hair has suffered and It’s always dry/stiff now. I’ve changed shampoos/conditioners, tried all the remedies, talked to hairdressers and it’s honestly a pain in the ass. I spend more time with it covered than showing.

Several years ago, I cut it all off and LOVED it. The only reason I grew it out was to have more to dye, because I wanted multicolored hair. now that ship has sailed, I want to cut it all off again. Right now, it’s a little pass my shoulders.

I met my husband when I moved last year and got married several months in.

here’s the issue; I’ve mentioned it several times to my husband and have come away conflicted each time. He’s not a fan of short hair. He’s seen pictures where I had it cut off and said it was pretty but it held absolutely no attraction for him. I brought it up again, as we’re going into a city soon (we live in a rural area) and he basically told me, “I can’t handle short hair. Be prepared for that because I’m not attracted to short hair. I don’t like it. I can’t change it. I will not have attraction towards you.”

This is where I am: If I cut it off, I’ll feel happier but then I’ll also feel unwanted because he has no attraction for me. Or I could continue trying different solutions or change it up another way?

tldr; husband told me he will have no attraction for me if I cut my hair off (think pixie cut) but I’m miserable with current length/style.
