My friend [26m] is spending all of his money on drugs when he owes me [26m] money back.

My friend is in a bad life situation by his own doing. He smokes marijuana all the time which made him apathetic and had him drop out his first semester of uni and then since he is upset with his life he keeps smoking and keeps being apathetic and hasnt had a job in 8 years besides for uber.

When he does uber though he spends every dollar he makes on weed. He lives at his parents. When I was still smoking, he was broke and asked for me to spot him until he can pay me back. It racked up to like 300+ but out of pity I settled at 150. My caveat was it had to be in dollars not in weed. He agreed.

Now he's blocking me when I asked for it back saying he smoked me down (not enough to make up). I dont need it, its just the principle of it because he spends all his money on weed even though he knows he owes me. Never got one dollar back.

He's either caught in a rotation and his judgments messed up or he knows he can get away with it. Should I press the issue or just move on and learn a lesson?
