My BF is getting annoyed with me elevating his head at night so he doesn't snore as loudly, but I need to sleep for work. Both 30 m/f.

I have to be up at half 5am for work (often 12hr shifts) and it takes me a long time to fall asleep. My bf doesn't need to be up until 8 and only does 8 hour shifts at the most. He's very good at sleeping.

At night he is fine if his head is on a cushion, but if he comes off the cushion (which happens a lot) he snores REALLY loud. And it increases in volume until he wakes himself up. Then he instantly falls back asleep still not on the cushion, repeats until he wakes himself up again, and this happens for hours.

He does use nazel spray and I wear ear plugs, but the snore before he wakes himself up is super loud and makes it impossible to sleep as I know it's coming every 10ish mins, and if I manage to fall asleep before, it wakes me up too.

He drinks beer every night and Ive noticed when he drinks particularly strong beer or cider his snoring is a lot louder. I've bought this up to him but he doesn't want to stop drinking it.

I need to sleep for work so I so try and push the pillow back under his head. It usually works but on occasion (about once every 3 nights) I have to lift his head to do so. I try and be really gentle but he wakes up. He has started getting really annoyed with me doing this, which is understandable but I'm so tired and really need him to stop snoring so loudly as my job is demanding and I can't do it with no sleep.

We live in a small flat so sleeping in another room isn't an option.

TL:Dr: BF getting annoyed that I have to elevate his head at night so his snoring allows me to sleep.
