Boss has gone full-blown psycho on me

When I (30F) started my job a few months ago, I caught on quickly and was given a lot of responsibility. People liked me. Things were going smoothly.

Then I got transferred under a different manager (probably 60F), and all hell broke loose. She picks apart my work to a ridiculous degree. Things that literally do not matter, she'll focus in on and act like I've made some huge mistake. Yet, when she makes a mistake, she excuses it as "no big deal". The thing is, this is all the time. Like multiple times a day, on every single thing I do. She'll ask me to do something, I'll do it exactly how she requested, and yet she STILL comes back with "corrections".

People who have seen her "corrections" say it's absolutely insane that she's making me do these things. They say it doesn't make sense. Everyone else is thrilled with my work and by all other accounts, I'm doing really well. It's just this manager who has it OUT for me. It's like she's trying to break me down, bit by bit, to show me that my work is worthless and that I can't trust my own judgment. She's trying to get into my head.

In addition to this, sometimes I have to talk to her on the phone and she'll ask me a casual question about my weekend, etc. Whatever I say, SHE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY AGAINST IT. If I say that I enjoyed the sunny weekend, she'll say, "It wasn't sunny at all. I can't imagine enjoying a weekend like that". Or if I say, "I went to the beach this weekend", she'll say, "That's such a bad idea. You can get skin cancer. I always stay away from the beach".

This kind of childishness is CONSTANT with her. I'm beginning to feel exhausted. I can clearly see that she's trying to manipulate and gaslight me, but I don't understand why a grown woman would spend so much energy on trying to break me down. I've seen her be rude and domineering to other people too, but since we're all remote I don't know if she's quite as psycho with others.

Not sure what to do.

TLDR: Boss is nuts.
