I (37f) want more kids. New bf (48m) doesn't know.

I just started seeing someone about 1 month ago, things are progressing well and I really like him. However I have decided that I want more kids. He has 3 (17, 12 and 9) and i have 1 (7). I only have a few more years before it is too high risk for me to try for a kid and I want to know is it too soon to ask if he ever thought of having more. I don't want to get the kids attached to either of us or each other if this is going to be a deal breaker for us. My best friend doesn't think it should be a deal breaker and I should wait until the new year to mention anything.

TL;DR! I want another kid (eventually) is it too soon to mention it to the guy i recently started seeing.
