I see a lot of posts from people in their 20s, and some from people in their late teens, on this subreddit. Every time I see these posts I think to myself "These people are still children, but they don't realize it yet." Youth is wasted on the young and all that.
My point is this: You are young and so is your partner (usually) and you need to realize that you've barely become an adult. You've been with your partner for five years? Okay, but you're 25. You know nothing! Somehow you need to accept this fact. You are young and no matter how smart you are, you just haven't put in the time yet to be wise.
Nine times out of ten if you're a 20-something and feel the need to post on this forum about your relationship drama you should probably not be in this relationship. You should not be in any relationship. You should take this opportunity to be alone and work on yourself so that you can be complete and find someone else, eventually, who is as complete (but also probably just as broken) as you. There is no rush.
Chill out and learn who you are so that when you do find the one you aren't a half-person, and you can bring a whole person into the relationship.
TL;DR you can't really be in a healthy relationship if you don't take the time to figure your own self out. Be patient.
