Kay, I(28f) and my boyfriend(27m) have been together for six years and we plan to begin planning wedding once the world is back to normal, so I have no plans to leave him. However we are severely sleep incompatible.
He says he can't get to sleep at night without cuddles (he's always said this but I thought he was just being cute when we text each other before bed. Now I live with him and it's very true, he loves cuddling and being physically close. I really can't deal with cuddling more then a moment or too, I like my space alot and I don't like touching people. Skin to skin contact is hot, sweaty, and I feel trapped under his heavy body (he's not overweight or anything, but I'm barely 100lb he's a normal sized guy, and I cant even sleep under a weighted blanket. He also sleeps on top of the mattresses so it's super unfair he wants to boil me alive at night, however he cant sleep under the covers either (unless it's winter).
I've added a nighttime fan to the room and when it's cold I can allow longer cuddling sessions. But honestly I prefer to go to sleep not touching facing opposite directions. He likes to face each other and often hugs me to his chest but that's probably the most uncomfortable position ever. He's breathing on me, my breathing patterns get messed up because he can't breath quietly, and I instantly overheat. (Hugging a pillow does seem to help a bit, but when he does get to sleep he unconsciously steals the covers, kicks them off the bed, and cuddles more once they are gone.

We both have to work early morning so sleep is important. But Im starting to feel like I need to relocate to the couch.
