So I decided to go on vacation to Colorado with my bf of two years since this is the last week I’ll have open for the next year. It wasn’t my top choice for vacation spots but he really wanted to see his old friends (he used to live here). I was thinking we could hang out with his friends, go hiking, walk around town, etc while easily social distancing.
Well we get here and the first day we saw his friends. We were there for about two hours and it was somewhat late in the evening (like 8) when we left. I figured that was plenty of time but we get back to the hotel and immediately he goes “I’m gonna go out to the bar with my boys”. I really don’t have a problem with him going to a bar by himself but this is a freaking pandemic and it seemed so unnecessary after we had JUST seen them. He invited me to go but I said no thanks. He came back at 1 am.
Next day we go get breakfast and walk around the shops a little bit, I needed to go back to the hotel for a second to chill for a bit so he takes me back. We took a nap and I got on a zoom class for my school. He leaves and says he’ll be back at 7? (It’s 1) and he’s going to see “his boys”. Leaving me stranded at the hotel with no car.
Am I right to find this annoying as hell? Like why take me out here if you’re just going to use me as a time filler between hanging out with your friends? I’m thinking about buying a ticket to leave early since this is really not fun for me, do you think that’s being dramatic? Edit: Yes I told him it bothers me and he said he hasn’t seen them in a long time so of course he’ll be with them a lot.
TL;DR my bf took me on a vacation but is leaving me in the hotel by myself with no car to go see his friends for hours on end. Wondering if I should get an early ticket home (on the second day of a week long vacation)
