Good morning! Long time lurker, first time poster.
My boyfriend (23m) and I (25f) have been dating for three months, although we've been friends for years. Since we started dating, I've spent a ton of time at his apartment. He lives alone with his cat, and I live with my parents. We decided that even though we would both love to move in together, it's too early in the relationship and we shouldn't rush.
That being said, I know my being there almost every night is increasing his living expenses. Just stuff like water and AC and toilet paper and food. Sometimes I'll hang out for a while on my days off after he leaves for work. I know having a second person there so often adds up. I try to pay for takeout and groceries and stuff as often as possible but he insists I don't have to, or he'll split the bill with me. I asked if he wants me to contribute financially for bills/rent and he's flat out refused.
Any ideas for different ways I can contribute to make it feel more fair? I don't want him to feel like I'm taking advantage of him, even though he hasn't indicated that at all. Neither of us are financially stressed so I want to help out more but I'm not sure how to contribute.
tl;dr I spend almost every night at my boyfriend's house and he said he doesn't want me to give him money for bills. Any ideas for other ways I can contribute?
