My (26M) girlfriend (22F) seeks a lot of validation

Heyo,

I've been together for about 9 months now and it's going well.

However, she often needs me to tell her how much I like her, and what I like about her. If I don't do it for 2 days she'll start asking for it. Not just an "I love you" but an explanation why I do.

I guess this is just what her needs are, and I'm not really the type who'd quickly give words of affection. Though I'm trying to do so.

I'm curious to understand it though. Why would she want me to do it almost everyday? Sometimes it almost feels needy.

Any of you who'd also value things like this could give me some better perspective?
