Me f(30) and my Husband m(31) were talking about sending back some packages over the phone. I asked him to write something on the return slip. He said “you want me to write all that?” I took it as him being sarcastic and said “it will just take you a minute” and he snapped at me and said “don’t be fucking stupid.”
I texted him and said “I can’t believe the way you treat me sometimes.”
When he got home he said sorry but you snapped at me and I was just reacting to you. And I said I was just reacting to you. He said just forget about it.
We have a new baby so we are both exhausted, and we are both under a tremendous amount of pressure. Not excusing his behavior.
It hurt me so bad that he would talk to me like that. I would not let anyone else talk to me that way. I have issues with self esteem and sticking up for myself as it is. He just wants to brush it off and pretend nothing happened. Our communication sucks by the way. I don’t even feel like I can approach him and bring it back up. And I’m not getting more than that half assed apology. Am I blowing this out of proportion?
Tl;dr: Husband says I snapped at him, he told me “don’t be fucking stupid” and gave me a half assed apology.
