Long story short... I grew up with my grandmother in the house. My parents took care of her for a long time. My mom's other siblings never seemed able to step up to the plate when it came their time to help out. No one really wanted to take care of her and my mom was the only one willing to contribute financially to enable her to live elsewhere (i.e. assisted living).
She went to live with a different siblings of my mom's when she was older. It has lasted a few years.
But now that sibling told my mom she doesn't want to take care of her anymore. I know that the burden will probably fall on my mom again... But I don't want that to happen. I love my mom and have seen the toll this has taken on her and our family in general. My grandma is a troubled person and really hard to be around. I don't want to see my parents and especially my mom go through that again.
What can we do? How can I get her other siblings to step up whether it is as caretakers or financially? What are my options?
TL;DR: no one wants to take care of my grandma and I don't want it to fall on my mom again what do I do?
