Me (24f) and my boyfriend (27m) have been dating for just over a year now. Yesterday when I got home from work I was using his laptop to do some online shopping as my laptop was at work. I was trying to activate ShopBack but confused myself and the mouse curser hovered over the history tab. I noticed on the side there were links to porn so out of curiosity I went into the history and discovered that at the exact same time he had opened the porn website, there were about 5 links of his best friend opened. These photos are just of her face and her most recent social media posts. I confronted him about it because it was pretty obvious what he was doing and he admitted everything. I’m very conflicted on what to do with this situation as it’s something he started doing before we had even met. He has never had any real life sexual encounters with this girl and she for obvious reasons has no idea about it. Is this considered cheating since it’s someone he knows? I feel like if it was a random celebrity or model then I wouldn’t be bothered but this makes me feel a bit sick inside and I’m honestly just so lost in how to handle this going forward. He’s promised me it won’t happen again and I can see his history whenever I like and he’s very open with showing me his phone. I just feel lost and honestly a little bit heartbroken.
TL;DR: boyfriend masturbates to photos of his female best friend. She is fully clothed and it’s just her social media photos but is this considered cheating? How do I move forward from this? I’m lost
