So l (21F) just graduated from college, and I got a text from my ex boyfriend (22) saying congratulations. We were together almost 3 years. and we haven’t spoken in a long time.
I told my new bf (21) about this and he isn't very happy about this to say the least. I just don't want to be rude and ignore the text, but my bf does not want me to respond whatsoever. we have been together almost a year.
What i want to do: say thank you and move on, i'm not entertaining a conversation.
Is it wrong to say thank you? are either my bf or I being irrational? what should i do?
tl;dr: to text back or not to text back my ex to say thank you
