I (39f) got upset with my husband (40m) for how he spoke to his bio son (16m) while helping him with homework

Married 5 years. No shared kids....he has 1 son who lives with us 1/2 time.

He was tutoring his son in physics. There is an upcoming test next week that is important and they were working on it all day.

His son is trying but struggling. I suddenly heard my husband say "you're a fucking idiot! This is totally wrong, what are you doing??"

His son didn't seem overly phased by this. But it sounded so harsh. I know they are both frustrated, but I'm annoyed with him for speaking like this.

Am I worrying too much?

tldr: I think husband is a verbally abusive teacher
