Me and my boyfriend have had lots of discussions about lockdown and how important it is. We've both been very judgemental of people who have not followed guidelines. We're now at a point in my country where we're allowed to meet people in parks maintaining 2m and socially distancing. My mum who I have not seen for over three months now was planning to come see me in our local park. My dad has copd, diabetes and heart disease, so if I he gets covid he'll very likely become very seriously ill. As a result of this my mum is still being super vigilant.
Today while I was at the shop my boyfriend's business partner turned up and my boyfriend decided it would be okay to let him in our house. They could have very easily discussed things over the phone or in a local park if it was so important. I returned and was shocked to find him in our house. After he left I calmly told my boyfriend I was really unhappy and ill have to tell my mum not to come anymore as I'm in no way risking my dad's life. My boyfriend thinks I'm overreacting. I'm really livid and think he's being such a hypocrite and being so unthoughtful. Am I overreacting and should I let this go? It doesn't seem like he even understands the situations he's put me in.
Tldr my boyfriend let someone into our house against government guidelines.
