repost because I forgot my tl;dr
tl;dr fought with my wife over parenting duties
My wife and I have never had any major major marital issues. We have a new baby (7mo) so things haven't been the easiest, but we're doing pretty well. I am looking for some insight into a blowup that my wife had yesterday.
I complimented her and told her that she's a natural at being a mom, which I tell her all the time because I want her to feel appreciated. She yelled at me and said that I use that as an excuse to not work as hard at being a dad. She said I pile work on her because I say she's better at parenthood things instead of doing it myself.
I disagree with her because I think we do pretty much an even split between the two of us. I told her that and it just made her angrier. We haven't talked it out yet and I am looking for advice on how to approach this conversation tonight.
