My [20M] Boxing opponent [20M] died before he could challenge me for the title. I want to help his family but they are very proud.

I am the middle weight boxing champion in my area. I was supposed to have a boxing match coming up next month to face a challenger. However, over the weekend I found out that he had been killed by a drunk driver. I have had a phone call with his brother where I said that I was really glad I didn't have to fight him as I knew he was gonna take the title from me. His brother found that quite funny.

He was planning to give his purse to his sister who is undergoing medical treatment I hear. My promoter would be quite willing to hold an exhibition fight to raise some money towards this. However, they are quite a proud family and I don't think would easily accept what they might view as charity. Advice please?

TL;DR My boxing opponent was killed by a drink driver. I would like to have an exhibition match to help pay towards his sister's medical treatment but the family are very proud and getting them to take the money might be difficult.
