My (34F) husband (33M) wants our house colder than I do. This is unremarkable. However. Today where we live, it's 55 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The heater was set to turn on if the temperature inside drops below 67 Fahrenheit, which to me is still a pretty chilly compromise. Even so, he turned on the air conditioner to bring the temperature down to 65 because he just likes it really cold. I was already in my office (we work from home) with a space heater when I felt the cold air start.
He doesn't have high blood pressure. He has a fan he can turn on and point at himself. He could even open the windows to avoid using electricity. We've talked about these options before and I've told him it seems like a waste of energy and it makes me really uncomfortable for it to be so cold. And yet, he keeps doing it without telling me as if I won't notice.
This is stupid, but I'm so frustrated. What is there to do?
TL;DR my husband keeps turning on the air conditioner in winter despite us having agreed on a temperature and him having other options, and it's making me really unhappy.
