My boyfriend and I have lived together for about 3 years. He’s an amazing partner and we are usually quite open with each other, which is why this one little thing is bugging me so much. As of last month, he started bringing his phone with him everywhere. Every time he goes to the bathroom, quickly jumps out of the car to grab something, or leaves my presence for a even second. When we go to bed he plugs his phone in on my side of the bed but when I wake up in the middle of the night it’s moved somewhere else where I can’t find it. I wouldn’t be concerned if he didn’t leave his phone with me all the time our whole relationship leading up to now. I don’t have a history of invading his privacy so it’s not about that, if he did leave his phone out around me I wouldn’t go through it, I have no reason to. Nothing else has changed, he is still affectionate, says I love you, and we have sex regularly. But I’m concerned about what could be so private on his phone he needs to take these measures to keep me from seeing it. He just acts so weird about it sometimes. Let me know if I’m overthinking!
