My [22F] roommate [28F] didn't clean the apartment, so I stopped doing too. She's angry with me because the apartment is dirty.

Hi everyone. I'm conflicted with something.

My Roommate decided some months ago to fire the cleaning lady. Ok, she didn't even consulted me, but I was okay, let's clean.

The agreement was to both of us clean the apartment.

I cleaned once, twice, and my roommate said she was to busy and that she doesn't like cleaning.

So I decided to not clean till she cleans the apartment. This lasted 3 months.

Today she returned from college and started to say how could I leave the place a dirty mess, that I should have cleaned, and she is disgusted.

I was disgusted myself (and sincerely, I couldn't leave the floor without an occasional swept once in a while) so I said I would clean the apartment tomorrow.

The she started to clean immediately. I was telling her to stop, that I would do it anyway. Then she started to say that she is using her sparse free time (she have all the weekend btw) to clean.

I don't know if I did the right thing, I was really pissed off with her. But my acts damaged our house coexistence.

What do you guys think?

Ps: she's finished now. There are still dirty spots everywhere. I will have to do it tomorrow.

TL;DR: she fired our cleaning lady. I cleaned but she didn't. I stopped doing it. She's angry and finally cleaned after 3 months.
