Is 2 years too soon to get engaged? (24F & 26M)

Hi all, I (24F) have been with my boyfriend (26M) for almost 2 years now and we’ve lived together for about a year. We have a really great relationship and have been talking about getting engaged soon. (We’ve known since about 6 months in that we wanted to get married so we’re not just now talking about that). We’d probably have at least a year long engagement. Anyway I’m wondering if 2 years isn’t enough time to be dating before getting engaged? Can you truly know someone fully after 2 years? Married/engaged people, how long did you wait? I think I’m being influenced by other couples and those who waited a long time.
