I [19F] had an inappropriate relationship with my step-brother [18M] then I started seeing another guy. I think my step-brother is upset

My dad met my step-mom 2 years ago and now they are married and we all live together. I didn’t know my step-brother at all before that and we got very close very soon. I do like him and I would date him if our parents weren’t together.

He and I have been sleeping with each other and going out on little dates and even had our date nights at home together. I have enjoyed the time I’ve spent with him and I know he has feelings for me and he knows I had feelings for him too, but I know this can’t work out in the long run due to our circumstances. He’s a sweet guy, good looking, and a good person.

Well I recently started talking with another guy and I started seeing him, but I didn’t really tell my step-brother, I just told him that we should stop what we were doing and he now obviously knows that I am with somebody else.

Now he seems super distant with me. For one, he doesn’t hang out, watch movies, or talk with me anymore. When we all have dinner he either picks at his food and barely eats then leaves or says he isn’y hungry and doesn’t show up. I’ve tried having some small talk with him like telling him good morning and stuff, but he barely answers and goes outside all day and I feel like he’s sad or upset.

How can I get close with him again and how could talk with him about this ? I want to stay close with him because I love him and really care about him

Tldr: I kind if dated my step-brother and I recently started seeing another guy. I think my step-brother is upset about it
