My friend's [22/F] father [39/M] invited me [22/F] to a showcase even featuring his clothing, would it be out of line to accept?

A few days ago me and a bunch of friends were invited to a friend's place for dinner and drinks. She lives with her father, who offered to help us cook. In the end, it was her father doing most of the cooking (he's really good at it) and we took turns helping him prepare the food. When I was helping him, he stroke a conversation about my clothes. I was wearing latex pants and he told me he has his own clothing brand that revolves around latex/vinyl clothes. We had a brief conversation about our mutual interest and that was it.

After dinner, we decided to drink and watch netflix for the night. I'm not a huge drinker, so in the meantime, I had another conversation with her father, who even showed me some of his designs. Before going home, he invited me to attend his showcase event where he'll be displaying some of his work.

I have until tomorrow to decide. I want to attend but I don't want to cause a rift or create a problem. Would it be out of line to accept his invitation and attend with him?

TL;DR: My friend's father invited me to attend a showcasing event where he'll display some of his latex/vinyl clothing designs, I'm torn between going and declining his invitation.
