My BF goes through LOADS of toilet paper. Just from using the toilet normally he will get through 2 rolls per day. We both work 9-5 and get home at the same time, eat the same food, the only difference is he drinks alcohol a lot. We live quite far from any shops so it's a bit of a pain having to go out every few days to get more.
He has told me that the managers at his work also complain that the toilet roll goes too fast, and he thinks it's ridiculous that they care so much. They order it in bulk and about 200 rolls were gone in a month, which I do think is a lot. There's only 3 staff there plus a manager. It seems he's going through even more there as it's where he spends most of his time.
I've asked him how he gets through so much and he just claims that it's normal and why does it matter. Which I guess is true, but it doesn't bother me because of the cost. It bothers me because it's multiple journeys into the town each week. And in UK where we are people are going crazy with bulk-buying due to isolation fears, it's the first thing there's a shortage of and I don't like being part of the problem. I have friends who are delivery drivers who told me that many elderly people who had their shopping delivered went without last time because of bulk-buyers.
Obviously there's also the concerns about his health but he denys there's anything wrong.
TL:Dr: my BF gets through 2 rolls of toilet paper per day meaning we have to constantly bulk-buy it. His work complained that 200 bit rolls got used up over Xmas.
