My [25f] boyfriend [33m] got threatened by a neighbor to have the cops called on him because he freaked out about a shower. How do I address his behavior in a way thats not going to make him more mad?
He just threw the absolutely worst temper tantrum, banging, throwing things, cursing/yelling at the top of his lungs to make sure the neighbors heard... all because of him running out of hot water. All he has to do is wait 10-20 minutes for hot water to build back up and he doesn't have to go anywhere either. He didn't hear the man say what he said, and when I told him he said that I'm either lying to him or a horrible gf for being on the neighbors side in this situation. I know people get angry, but I feel like his behavior was highly too aggressive for the situation. How do I address this to him in a way that doesn't make him feel attacked, but also helps me be heard and understood? How do I resolve this in a healthy way?
TLDR: I tried addressing the behavior with him and he blamed me/wasn't willing to see any error. And now we haven't been talking to each other for over an hour. What can I do? Should I say sorry and let it go? We've been together 4 years and I'm about to have a baby with him.
