My (26F) BF (26M) always makes goofy/weird faces when we take pictures together. He does not do this with other people.

Together for 1 year. If I pull my camera or phone out, he'll scrunch his face or close his eyes- basically making me not want to take pictures. I've asked him, straight up, if pictures make him uncomfortable. He says no. And he takes many "normal" pictures with friends and family members. But if it's just us, even a picture with both of us- he will never just smile. It's almost like he really just hates taking pictures with me, so he makes them the type you wouldn't want to post or show other people.

Last week he went to the gym with friends- they took a post workout picture. All smiles. I tried to take a selfie of us that night- he gritted his teeth and made a "scared" face. I'm so sick of it. Advice? Or maybe this will be my first relationship where we never take pictures together. I'm frustrated.
