I’m going to start by saying that I think I have a pretty admirable sense of confidence and independence when I’m single. Although, as soon as I enter into a serious relationship and get attached to someone, I struggle to stay in the moment and I start to worry more about what could happen in the future. I really don’t like how I feel about myself when I’m in this state of mind as I would like to be present and appreciate the moments I have when I’m in them. This seems to only happen when I really care for someone, but it seems like a self-sabotaging mindset that I don’t want to be a part of. What do you think I can/should do to change this while still feeling secure and confident in the relationship??
TLDR: How can I stay as confident and mentally present as when I’m single once I enter a relationship?
