I broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years in February. We started dating when I had just turned 22 and he was 31. So a 9 year age difference.
Before this I was with a guy for a very short while. I was 21. He was 29.
And then before this in my very first relationship (only lasted a few months), I was with a guy who I had been friends with for two years. I was 19 and he was 20 so only a year difference. I never really actually felt anything romantically for this guy and was really just with him out of loneliness.
Thing is, EVERY TIME I'm attracted to a guy he's a good bit older than me. Even as a 15 year old I only seemed to be attracted to guys in their 20s. (Don't worry I never acted on it.)
I'm just never really attracted to guys my own age. Visually they look young, like 'boys' to me, whereas I prefer my men to look like 'men', if that makes sense.
I also don't feel like I have much in common with guys my own age and click more with older guys.
I'm now in a flirtationship with a guy who works in a plant shop. I'm not sure of his exact age, I'd guess late 30's. I turn 26 next week.
I know if I did end up going out with this guy my parents would be like what the hell is wrong with her, another older guy? The only relationship they know I've been in is the 4 year one.
So why am I only attracted to older guys? I don't feel attraction very often, hence why I haven't had too many relationships. Is there something wrong with me? Would you judge a person for this? Does anyone else get where I'm coming from?
TLDR: I'm only attracted to guys who are about 10 years older than me. Why?
