My son is 18 and in the stage of “I don’t know what I want to do with my life”. He tried college, not for him (I knew that was going to happen), he was working two jobs for a short time but burnt himself out so now he’s looking into trade school (which I am happy about). I have a “you can live under my roof for free if you’re in school or you work and help contribute towards the household” rule. I had him when I was a teen so I never went through this stage in life as I had to keep trucking through since I had a baby to care for. How can I be more supportive or understanding to where he is at?
TL;dr. What’s the best way I can be supportive of my 18yo son going through the “idk what I want to do with my life” stage?
