Boyfriend [M25] feels the need to include his mom in everything and bring her places with us. Me, [F20], is uncomfortable and annoyed with their relationship.

So my boyfriend M25 is super close with his mother. When I come over, he always wants me to hang out, watch movies, etc with his mom. Me and him have been planning to go to an amusement park in the state for about a month now. Today he called me and said that we’re going next Wednesday, but his mother is driving us and he’s paying for her ticket instead of mine. Ummm?? I asked why his mom has to come with us and he said he doesnt want to drive all the way there. (Its less than a 2 hour drive, I dont see the big deal. I’ve drove my little sister there last year) It’s annoying that he has to include his mom in this, and the fact that he’s acting like a little b**** about driving there. I told him I would go with them, but now I’m really changing my mind. How do I go about this? Am I overreacting? I don’t see why it can’t just be the 2 of us. I dont want to be chapperoned by his mother

TLDR: My boyfriend who’s 25 is bringing his mother to drive us to an amusement park less than 2 hours away as well as paying her ticket instead of mine, even tho just the 2 of us have been planning to go for a while now.
