It's been a while since I posted here. Like a long while. But damn it if the world isn't going to hell.
You all have watched Jordan Peterson by now, right? Peterson said something about Jesus' spirt "living on" that struck a chord with me that I wanted to share with you. The interviewer asked him to clarify what he meant by spirt, and he said, roughly:
A spirit is a pattern of being and behaving; it's a habitual pattern of thinking and feeling; and it can be passed through many mediums, through books, through speech, through observing others' actions.
What The Red Pill community, at its best, does for young men is to support them in identifying positive, wholesome, life-enhancing spirits, and to then support them in pulling those spirits inside of them, giving them agency and outlet for manifestation in the world.
How does this relate to lifting?
Lifting makes you strong physically, mentally, and spiritually. The last part is the most crucial. Lifting makes you stress-test your spirit, your resolve, your determination to carry on. It makes you channel in new spirits, capable of bearing that load.
There is an over-emphasis in this sub on the importance of getting fit in order to attract women. Yes, that is part of the game. It is a very important part of the game especially for short-term one-off sexual encounters. But for more meaningful encounters, if you're into that sort of thing, Game (with a capital G) actually matters. And once you go LTR, again if you're into that sort of thing, Game matters a lot. Being swole won't help you pass a shit test. But the process of getting swole will help you build the spirit that gives you the natural Game which will help you pass that shit test.
So basically, focus on your actual bicep circumference less, and focus more on doing things that help build the right Spirits. Actually, spending too much time thinking about how you look is a chick thing to do; it's vain, and it leads to anxiety about one's looks. Be careful with that one.
