Throwaway because sometimes i show her things from reddit. So ive been dating my girlfriend for the past 9 month almost 10 we met on a dating app and things have been going perfect and we're even moving in together. The thing is is that ive matched with my girlfriend twice online the first time i matched with her was a little over 13 months ago the same day i matched with my ex we'll call Samantha i set up a date with my current girlfriend and ex in the span of the same week.At the time i thought i could be a person who could go on dates with several people at once but conscience the best of me and i decided togo on a first date with my ex instead of current girlfriend and lied to current girlfriend and said that i just went through a breakup and that i had to cancel on our date.
I dated my ex for 2 an 1/2 months which we broke up which in now thinking was for the better.after breaking up i continued on the app as usual but alwayd in the back of my mind hoped id match up with the girl i turned down.
After some time miraculously what do i know i matched with her again and things have been amazing i love her so much! But everytime we joke about meeting each other she always jokes that i "rejected" her and that i was going through a tough time at the time. Every time we talk about this i get a sick feeling inside like i betrayed her and hate lying to her but im afraid if she knows the truth itll break her heart that i chose someone over her. If i were to tell her how would i do it and would you feel betrayed even if you were told this late in the relationship.
TlDR: lied to my current girlfriend while we werent even dating yet saying i wasnt ready to date in reality i went on a date with someone else
