My girlfriend (23F) wants to go abroad for a minimum of 3 months straight after lockdown. I (27M) don't know if I want to do a LDR after all of this..

So we are from the UK and May 17th marks the first time I will be able to hug my girlfriend of 18 months, since almost a year a go.

Her dream is to work abroad as a holiday rep and she wants to try it before she settles down. I am very much ready to settle and this has thrown a spanner in the works. If she loves the job she may end up doing it for longer than 3 months and it may happen every year.

I am pretty upset that after all this lockdown, I still cant get back on track with her, with further time apart looming over us. I dont know how to feel. I dont want a LDR as its never been for me and I see them as damaging for all invovled.

Just looking for any advice for dealing with a now extended separation which is exactly what I didnt want.

Note: I have seen her, just havent been able to physically touch

TLDR: Girlfriend is leaving to work abroad after lockdown has just finished. How do I cope seeing as its completely the opposite of what I want and need. Its her dream but im not ready for a LDR
