My boyfriend and I recently moved in together about a month ago. He lived at home prior to that to save money in order to rent with me because we wanted a nice sized condo which we eventually were able to buy together. When he lived at home he obviously at dinner there. My family lives in another state so I don't have anyone else to eat with besides him or if I eat with a friend which is less often.
Anyway, after my boyfriend gets off work around 4:45 he will go home to eat and stays about 60-90 minutes. He will usually leave at 6:30 and get home at 7:15 because he has a commute. Meanwhile I'm at home waiting to prepare us dinner because I WFH until 5 pm and end up having to wait until I'm really hungry to eat with him because he gets back so late. I've been getting annoyed with this lately because he goes home 4/5 days of the work week. I don't think I would mind as much if he did it less often, but I'm starting to feel like the after thought and that he doesn't prioritize eating with me. Am I expecting too much?
tldr: boyfriend goes home to eat most days and eats with me after but I want us to eat together earlier. what should I do
