Dating for 5 years, living together for 3.
I thought everything was good. We mostly shared the same values when we got together and I don't know where things changed.
He borrowed my laptop yesterday and didn't log out of his accounts. The first thing I saw on the screen was a certain subreddit dedicated to beating/hitting/humiliating women with a comment that he had made. I don't want to repeat it. It makes me feel sick.
My curiousity got the better of me. I shouldn't have snooped, I wish I didn't. He has an anonymous instagram where he follows a male "dating coach" who spews hatred and misogyny. He's left comments on womens' photos on instagrams and reddit posts calling them horrible names and slurs. Not only famous women who will probably never see his comments, but women from our town. Women who have done nothing wrong. He's MESSAGED women privately even more vile things than what he says in his comments.
I can't stay with somebody like this, but I have no idea where to go from here. My family live 8+ hours away. I just need advice. He's never displayed any of this behaviour or thought patterns towards me and I'm just so confused. Do I confront him? Do I escape in the middle of the night?
tldr: Boyfriend is a raging misogynist and I don't know what to do.
