With everything going on (COVID, civil rights issues), I’ve (35F) been finding it very hard to talk to or be around my family. The combination of cavalier attitudes towards Covid and blatant dismissal/denial of civil rights injustices has literally begun to make me feel physically sick when I’m around them. I know that I’m allowed to have my own feelings (and they are allowed as well), but I can’t help feeling sad ab distancing myself from them when my family is very small to begin with.
At what point do I need to suck it up and put my feelings aside for the sake of, “the family”? TL;DR: distancing from family due to current events
