I (28M) dont know if I can fully commit to my Catholic girlfriend (25F)

I have been dating my girlfriend for just over 6 months now and we're finally starting to hit a roadblock. She's a beautiful girl and we get along more than I ever have with another girl. She is everything I need to calm my wild ass down and she's an amazing person inside and out.

Going into it I knew she was a devout Catholic and I dont mind at all because I respect her beliefs as I would hope she respects mine being an Atheist. As things have gotten more serious and we had to confront our differences we are now questioning whether or not this is viable for us long term. We both knew there would have to be compromises to make this work but the more we talk about the issue I get the feeling she is less willing to compromise in my favor as she expects me to compromise in hers.

There is zero sway for her when it comes to raising kids Catholic and wanting then to go to Catholic school. Am I supposed to just pretend I agree with her beliefs if we were to have children? Initially I thought I would be okay with that but I don't want to raise my kids to believe in something that I dont just the same as she wouldn't want to do regarding Atheism.

It feels like I'm the asshole in this situation for not wanting to be the only one compromising who I am and what i believe for the other person. Anyone gone through something similar?

Tl;dr My girlfriend is Catholic and I'm Atheist which is causing me to question if we can make it work due to her absolute requirement that her kids are raised Catholic.
