[update] My FIL [60M] will be moving in with me [29F], my husband [33M] and our daughters [7F twins] by the end of the month

I didn't get much attention in my OP but I figured I'd give an update.

It's been a little less than a month and things couldn't go better. We do Sunday family dinners and will occasionally invite him over for random night dinners and FIL tries to make a point to say hi/goodnight to my daughters every evening but if he doesn't for whatever reason, they seem okay with it. Both of the girls are adjusting wonderfully to it. I've been in contact with their teachers, aides, and specialists and all are saying they've not noticed any changes.

We didn't do any sort of contract or schedule but we did get forms filled out to give him medical power of attorney over the girls in case of emergency. I'm also going to add him as an authorized person with their doctors, just in case.
