My girlfriend of 5 years (21F) admitted to me (21M) she hooked up with my best friend (since kindergarten) while we were arguing.

Listen, I never post about my stuff on social media. I don't attention grab and I'm very private. My girlfriend since the 8th grade cheated on me with my bestfriend since kindergarten. I'm so fucking lost. On top of this, my old HS friend group was well aware and actively covering it up for months. It all came to be tonight, through word of mouth. We broke up about a week ago due to distance issues mutually (she lives in cali now).

I was talking marriage with this girl. We were that serious. Its shitty as hell because we broke up for about 5 months and I finally picked myself up and got over it and met someone else, but she came back as soon as she heard and I of course bought in because I loved this girl. She came back talking marriage with this on her conscious. I asked if anything happened and she said she hasn't hooked up with anyone.

Reddit, I never usually take advice from reddit. But I'm so fucking heartbroken. I'm fucked up. I have no idea how to begin to recover from this. I lost 5 years of a girl my family considered to be apart of with this. I just need advice or something I dont know. My thoughts can run rampant. I'm worried this might too much to take. Sorry this is all jumbled up.
