I (26f) found texts between my husband (30m) and a coworker. When approached, my husband reveals that he no longer wants kids.

We've been married for 3 years, together for 5. Last night, I found texts between my husband and a coworker. I don't think they've physically done anything yet, but he was trying to set up dates with her and went so far as to say that he thought they were married in a past life because they liked all of the same things.

When I approached him about it, he didn't deny anything. He kept saying that he thinks he would be better off living by himself in an apartment somewhere. That he loves me, but he knows the doesn't respect me as much as I deserve. (What a copout...)

We've been trying to get pregnant since April, and while he told me that he was scared, especially with finances about having a baby, we decided that we would be okay and that everyone is scared when they start trying.

Well last night, he told me that he doesn't know what he wants, that he doesn't know if he wants to be married to me, and that he's not sure if he EVER wants to have kids. We got married under the impression that we both wanted kids, so this just blindsided me.

My brother told me that him talking to his coworker is probably a symptom to the real problem rather than the problem itself, which I agree with.

I just don't know where to go from here. His mom, my mother-in-law, completely supports me and is blown away as well.

Is this worth trying to save? I feel like him deciding that he never wants kids is a huge dealbreaker. That's not something I'm changing my mind on.

I'm sorry if this is super broken up and choppy. I'm a weird mix of sad and angry right now, and I'm just all over the place.

TLDR: Husband now says he's never wanted kids despite saying the opposite for years. Texts with a coworker are just the cherry on top.
