I've lived in Denmark my whole life, but my parents come from the South-eastern country of Bosnia-Herzegovina as refugees when the bloody war was raging on. Every year me and my family visit the countries of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia. As I discovered TRP 6 months ago and started lifting, I also became much more health conscious. I quit the cigarettes, alcohol and porn, and focused on getting the adequate amount of micro- and macro nutrients. My health and well-being went through the roof. I put in a great amount of effort to make sure to continue my healthy lifestyle during the vacation. It all went great in Croatia, but when I came to Bosnia, something drastic happened to my health, well-being and physique.
In Bosnia I have lots of friends that I visit every time I'm there. When I started lifting I started observing the physique of others much more. When I visited them this year, I suddenly noticed how every second one of them has man-boobs, and they basically all look like true soyboys, even the one who brags about how much he lifts, who still has an under-developed physique. It was incredible how I was showered with compliments and examining eyes for my "good physique", which is pretty normal here in Denmark, but not in Bosnia.
However, after a few days of living there, my muscles softened, I started experiencing a brain fog and a lack of energy. I found a gym, but my lifts and stamina only went down. I looked at the different foods that are sold in the street markets and grocery stores. The tomatoes looked like they were grown in Chernobyl, so out of shape and huge. They didn't even taste like tomatoes but more like water. They screamed "GMO and pesticides" just by looking at them. What is funny is that they can stay in the heat for weeks and they still look the same from when they were bought. If the microbes don't wanna eat them, why should we then? They even don't recommend drinking tap water, but to buy bottled water.
I then took a look at the animals that the farmers kept. They basically looked like they were on steroids. The pigs, the cows, all of them. I really thought to myself: "Is this where the meat that I eat here comes from?" I was disgusted. When you live an unhealthy lifestyle, your body adapts to it. But when you live a healthy one and go back to the unhealthy one, you feel sick. Also, your body basically can't produce enough testosterone if it's fed with poison.
I didn't experience this when I was in Croatia, which is a member of the European Union(EU), the same with Denmark. There is a strong control of the use of pesticides, hormones and other chemicals with regards to agriculture. In Bosnia, however, there is not. Everything is corrupt, the government, the police, the whole system basically. And the inhabitants are struggling with money, therefore the farmers have to do whatever they can to maximize their yields as much as possible, even though it makes the food unhealthy and poisonous.
If you live in a less-developed country and experience the same thing about the food, it would be a good idea to consider growing your own crops and buying meat directly from a farmer, who is keeping his animals fit and healthy. Or else it can have devastating consequences to your health, T-level and well-being.
