Why does my ex (22f) want me (22m) in her life so bad but cannot stop lying and being dishonest?

My ex keeps making promises and breaking them. Over the course of +1 year she’s cried to have me back yet gets caught up in lies again and again. This is all really troubling to me and messes with my emotions considering I have feelings for her.

It’s so easy to say “just move on bro”, but like why is she doing this? I’ve caught her in lies and I’ve had no contact for months and months… I am just so mad I keep getting played because of my emotions. Like I’m seriously ready to pretend to want to talk to her so I can throw iced coffee in her face.

Tl;dr : My ex cannot stop lying to me but wants me in her life and constantly expresses how much she does. Why is this happening?
