I (19 F, about to be 20) recently started a friends with benefits relationship with a guy (just turned 23 M) that I met on Tinder. Originally I went on there because I was bored and just wanted to see my options for the guys on my college campus, but he ended up reaching out to me before anyone else did. I found him attractive, he was really polite and funny, so we decided to have a coffee date. Everything went well so we planned another meet up, and by the third "date" we already slept together and have been for the past few weeks. This is strictly a FWB thing because I don't have time for a relationship, nor do I want one, but it's nice to just hang out with someone and have fun with. He has also agreed to this so there is no problems there either.
The problem now is that my mom had "accidentally" saw one of his messages on my phone asking to come over and she basically interrogated me until I told her exactly who he was, how we met, age, etc and now she's pissed. She's entirely convinced that he's abusing me and that I'm going to get kidnapped/trafficked "because nobody on tinder has any good intentions" and also he's from Europe which she equates with trafficking. How can I tell her to back off and make her see reason with this? He has given me no reason to think that there's anything nefarious going on, he's always been completely respectful of any of the choices I make when I'm with him, and I like talking to him. There's absolutely no grounds to call the police and try to fuck up his life, but my mom is insisting that I'm just too damaged and abused to understand what is going on. I feel like it's also important to note that she's tried something similar/attempted to keep me away from any one that I've had a crush on/been interested in my entire life, dating all the way back to preschool.
Any advice on what to say to her and make her realize that I can make my own decisions would be appreciated.
Also to anyone that is gonna say "BuT tHe AgE gAp!!!!", it's 3 years and he did not groom me. I pursued him first and I went into this knowing exactly what I wanted with the intention of finding someone to hook up with.
TL;DR- My mom is insisting that a guy I'm FWB with is abusing me and wants to call the police because he's slightly older than me.
