My fiancée and I have been together for ~9 years, but in the past year or two she's stopped doing a lot of organizational/hygienic things in our shared apartment. For example, she doesn't do her laundry but instead makes piles and piles of it in our bedroom. She doesn't clean up after her pets. She buys things and leaves them in cardboard boxes in living areas.
We moved to a new apartment about a month ago, and I hoped that the change would give her a chance to get a fresh start. Unfortunately, she's hasn't even unpacked. Her dresser has no clothes in it bc they're all still in bags on the floor, and all of her stuff is still in boxes we have to walk around. Besides being an inconvenience, I can't clean the floor or bedroom properly because of all her boxes and other things.
Does anyone have suggestions about how to deal with this? I know she has time, because she doesn't work or even leave the apartment much. I think she might be depressed and I don't want to make her life more miserable, but the apartment is getting dirtier and more cluttered and I don't want to keep moving in that direction.
TLDR: Fiancee leaving stuff in piles, boxes in walkways, etc and doesn't put them away. Help?
