My long distance gf (F24) has been frustrating me (M22) since she’s putting too much energy in pleasing her friends.

How would you feel if you had a long distance relationship and your other half was constantly on social media and posting photos while with friends but won’t take time reply back to you? (Yet they will always claim how much they miss you). But when I don’t reply back for a while she gets worried. Yet when we’re on phone calls and such, she finds urgency to reply back to them because she doesn’t want to upset them.

I feel as if she’s too focused on pleasing friends when she’s with them or when they’re mad at her, that she neglects me and doesn’t realize it. She even gets terribly upset when her friends are mad at her. Even if they’re not, she gets extremely anxious that they may be. I just feel like she tries to constantly please them. I would say it’s borderline obsessive.

I think she’s insecure around them. To me, she seems insecure around them. She dresses up super nice and wears a lot of makeup just to go to her friends house to chill. I feel as if she lives by how she wants her friends and other people to view her and that is disappointing since it’s not 100% who she genuinely is. I want her to live her own life. I express to her that I want her to be herself around me and there’s never any pressure because I don’t want her feeling insecure especially in our relationship!

TL/DR- My long distance gf disregards me when she’s with her friends, but when I’m with my friends she messages me a good amount to most likely get me to reply back. Also she is obsessive over pleasing her friends and sometimes neglects me when doing such.
