My (23m) girlfriend (23f) has been asked to go for a walk with an older colleague (40+m) at her new job

Sounds innocent right? He's suggesting driving them two hours EACH WAY to the coast. She's only been working there a couple of months, and it's very part time so the guy hardly knows her.

I don't think my girlfriend would cheat, that's not the issue. It's just I find his proposal fucking weird and downright unnerving.

Oh, I should mention, he puts kisses on the texts (not a big deal), and has repeatedly told her he won't murder her (in a jokey way) so she shouldn't worry.

Thoughts? My girlfriend is 5'4" to give some context for my worry. Also she always assumes the best in people, to a dangerous degree.

TL:DR girlfriend has been asked my an older colleague at her new job to go for a walk on the coast, a two hour drive each way. He makes creepy jokes about not murdering her. This is weird right?
